John W. Williamson (brother of my great-grandmother, Callie Mcfalls)
ORMOND BY THE SEA, Fla.
-- John William Williamson, 94, died Sunday,
Dec. 5, 1999, in Coquina Center Nursing Center in Ormond Beach, Fla.
He
was born in Dryden, Va. He was a former resident of South Gate, Mich.,
and lived in the Ormond Beach area since 1968. He
was a retired accountant
with Ford Motor Co. and worked as a handyman for the Ocean Club
Condominiums until age 88.
Surviving
are his wife of 75 years, Ella Williamson; a daughter, Betty
LaFountain of Chatham, Ill; and two grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Holding Funeral
Home Chapel in Big Stone Gap, Va. The Rev. Ronnie Mutter
will officiate.
Entombment will be in Glencoe Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by a daughter,
Jackie McShane; a
brother, B.G. Williamson; and three sisters, Hazel Simmons, Malva Kaylor and
Callie McFalls.
He
was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Holding

of his enlistment; October 5, 1942. Albert work as a carpenter for The Coal Camp at one time.
Emmitt Herron(father's, step-father's brother)
Army, Private, born January 17, 1915 in Lee county Virginia, son of George and Rosa Herron. Attended school in Inman,
Virginia, transferred overseas May 14, 1942. Emmitt was involved in battles of Anzio Beachhead. Died August 31, 1944 in Italy.
Howard Herron(paternal step-grandfather)
Army Private born May28,1922 at Inman, inducted December 5, 1942 Howard was a plumber’s helper living in Big Stone
Gap at the time of his induction. He was the Brother of Emmitt.
